Respiro presents a group of recent pieces by Anne-Charlotte Finel — films, installation and prints — that the artist has produced over the last three years, sometimes in widely varying contexts.
They combine here to form an environment composed of penumbra and furtive flashes of light, details, blurs and transparencies, layers that are as musical as they are visual. An environment where the breathing of living things is captured and reproduced by the artist’s eye and her camera.
Points of connection and observation, two island residencies form the framework of this exhibition: the first took place on Molène in 2019, and the second will take place on Ouessant (Ushant) in spring 2024.
