Jinju silk, cotton, 155 x 195 x 1 cm
collaboration with Seungyeon Cho de Tongyeong, Korea

Set U takes up the traditional format of Korean Nubis blankets made according to the "Tonyeong Nu" quilting technique in the city of Tongyeong located in the extreme south of South Korea and produced until the 1980s.

The artist reinterprets them by drawing geometric and colorful compositions, inspired by Korean proverbs.
This cover produced in 2019 for the exhibition of La Criée, is handmade, like all the others, in collaboration with Seungyeon Cho in South Korea. The drawings, especially for the rounded shapes, led him to find new technical solutions.
