A character is seated at a table on which a tongue is placed. This painting combines a proverb with a current event that took place in Mali. In December 2019, during the Bamako Photography Encounters, the new general delegate was literally silenced during the inauguration. The government forbade him from giving a speech, thus publicly disapproving of him for his poor management.
