Carte de Bretagne un mercredi

David Horvitz

roses, blown glass

Coming from a nomadic, simple and daily practice, the art of Horvitz is akin to an art of movement. During the assembly of the exhibition, the artist undertook a trip to Brittany to go to collect flowers. Carte de Bretagne un mercredi (Map of Brittany on a Wednesday) is a bouquet composed of the same flowers from different places – elective – of the region, collected in one day. The work forms a mental map, subjective and ephemeral, of the territory.
