Correspondances is an exchange project, a privileged partnership on the cultural season, including visits to La Criée, meetings with art professionals, art experimentation workshops and the creation of a multimedia edition with a graphic designer.

Designed from the artistic programming of the art center, the project is aimed at groups of young or adult, wishing to enroll in a creative project seeking their contribution and active participation. It is above all to discover, exchange, learn about contemporary art in contact with works and professionals.

Correspondances, it is also a multimedia edition, including a blog conceived as a platform of exchanges, an experimental space testifying processes in progress – and an original edition with the graphic designer Marion Kueny.

For the 2011-2012 season, Correspondances proposes four thematic entries: Identities / Spaces / Movements / Democracy that goes through the artistic programming of La Criée. The project is based on the discovery of two or three exhibitions to choose: Déplier of Benoit Laffiché, Men at work, go slow! of Thierry Micouin, Salt Lake by Boris Mikhailov and The Dockers’ museum by Allan Sekula.

Visits and workshops are an opportunity to cross paths between the arts, the humanities and social sciences, to address notions of identity, borders, migration and intercultural exchange.

Each project is defined in consultation with the partners and is modulated according to the age of the participants.
