Matthieu Gounelle, born in 1971 in Troyes, is an astrophysicist. He is the author of the story Un ciel de pierres (drawings by Frédéric Pajak, Prix littéraire Jacques Lacarrière 2022). He has published several collections of poetry, including Si du ciel ne restait qu'une seule pierre at Éditions Filigranes (with photographer Julien Magre, 2018), Loin la mer at Éditions Naima (with painter Alexandra Roussopoulos, 2020), Alger-Centre (2020) and Jack (2022) Behind the Bathroom editions. He is a regular contributor to the journal L'Amour (éditions Buchet-Chastel) and was the curator of the exhibition Météorites, entre ciel et terre at the Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle (2017-2019). He translated Georges Séféris pour la Barque (published in spring 2024).
