Larys Frogier est historien de l'art, commissaire d'exposition et critique d'art, membre de l'association internationale des commissaires d'exposition (IKT) et membre de l'association internationale des critiques d'art (AICA).
Il a été directeur du centre d'art La Criée centre d'art contemporain à Rennes de 2000 à fin 2011.
