Date

From Wednesday April 4 to Thursday April 5, 2018

On the occasion of the Sculpter (faire à l'atelier) exhibition, the European School of Art in Brittany – Rennes campus and the University of Rennes 2 – Department of Visual Arts are organising two days of reflection on sculpture in close collaboration with the Rennes Museum of Fine Arts, La Criée Centre d'art and Frac Bretagne.

About

In this context, bringing together the works of sixty artists since the 1980s, we wanted to invite artists and critics to address a few themes that run through the field of contemporary sculpture.

-- The studio - is it still essential, how is it being reinvented?
-- The links and connections between sculpture and decor, illusion and mimesis.
-- What gestures and (im)materials are used in contemporary sculpture?
