Clédat & Petitpierre's modern parade, exhibited at La Criée for the exhibition « Sculpter (faire à l'atelier) » ‘Sculpting (making in the studio)’ comes to life and wanders through public spaces.

About

Yvan Clédat and Coco Petitpierre are sculptors, performers and directors. Since meeting in 1986, they have been exploring both exhibition spaces and stages, connecting the body and sculpture. They create ‘sculptures to be activated’ which they exhibit, inhabit or bring to life during performances.

In 2013, they created La Parade moderne, a sculptural, walk-through work consisting of ten sculptures representing figures from early 20th-century modern painting: Munch, Léger, Arp, Ernst, Magritte, Malevich, etc. They are accompanied by a brass band playing the opening bars of Ravel's Boléro.
